Flashback Tuesdays!

Hi Guys!

My picture this week is this one:

This is from back in 2008 when hubs and I were just Mike (or the boyfriend) and I.

We were living in Chico while Mike finished grad school.

And we had just adopted our little fur baby Tuffy.

I love this picture because it's so us.

I'm forcing everyone to take a self portrait.

Tuffy looks irritated and terrified.

Mike has a mullet and bangs (he was trying to grow his hair out).

We were a silly little family from the beginning and it's never changed.

Except, Mike has better hair.

And we have a better camera for cheesy self portraits.

And there's an extra fur baby now.

Pictures like this just remind me of how much I love us.

Rager

We partied prettty hard the night before I wore this outfit.

And by partying hard, I mean we stayed up past midnight and I drank the equivalent of a bottle of wine by myself.

At this point in our lives, that's a rager.

(Side note, while getting my hair done once by my younger and cooler stylist, she asked her friend if they were going to "rage" that night and I asked, "Where's Rage?"  I'm old.)

Needless to say after partying like that, I woke up feeling not awesome.

Hence, the fedora.

My dirty hair, hangover cover.

Also, to be fair, I only wore the cute version of this outfit for like an hour while we ran some errands and then I changed into this:

High Five For Friday!

This week has been a doozy.  

Homework, short staffed at work, super exhausted.

Not cool.

So here are the five best things about this sh*tstorm of a week.

I forgot to put a number on this one and I'm too sleepy to fix it.

(1) Buying our giant fan for the living room.  It is HOT here folks.  As in sitting on your couch sweating hot.  This fan is my new favorite thing ever.

(2) Packages from the sister.

(3) Pug study buddy.

(4)  Treadmill nature run 5ks while listening to the Ricky Gervais Show. (My pace is really slow, I know...I have short legs...and am out of shape.)

(5)  Freshly done hairs.

I didn't have time to take proper outfit pictures yesterday.

This week has been crazy.

If I were someone else, I would probably call it cray cray.

I wore this shirt yesterday for a lunch date with the hubs and running errands.

My Boys

After finishing my first of two papers due yesterday (my teacher hates us) I walked into the bedroom to find my boys reading and napping on the bed.

I figured, what better way to put off starting my second paper than to take some pictures of them.

High Five For Friday

I have no idea what day of the week it is.
I didn't realize I needed to do a H54F post until after 10am this morning.
I need to get more sleep.
And be done with grad school (SOON!)
So here are my 5 favorite things from this week (I've decided the week starts on Saturdays so I can include fun stuff from my weekends too)

(1)  Wine tasting with friends on Sunday, seriously so much fun.
(2)  Wearing my giant, hot pink watch that I bought at Big Lots.  This thing is huge.
(3)  Having an epiphany of how to handle the fact that I have too many shoes - sandal box under the bed!
(4)  Pool time with friends (and a much needed distraction from my paper that day).

(5)  Going to the store looking like a stoner in my pjs and messy hair, buying chips and guac and a mini cake just for me (It was a rough day).

Cardigan Meets Mullet Dress

I wore this outfit wine tasting on Sunday and didn't take outfit pictures.
Because I was having too much fun.
And you know...was a little boozy by the end of the day.
So I figured, why not throw a cardigan on it and pretend it's work appropriate!
